I’ve been in the sales business before and I know all about different come-ons, but I’ve never seen anything like that of lifelock’s - a company that gives a $1,000,000 promise to protect your ID.
You see, the company promises to guard your identity, including all the important numbers that identify you, from being stolen or misused by utilizing the most advanced identity theft protection system available. But, that’s not what makes it so attractive. It’s the promise of making use of all resources including a million dollars in order to do so that makes the company very special. According to their CEO, not only will they not charge extra for additional security measures, but they also vow to spend up to a million in order to keep your identification from being stolen or exposed to unnecessary danger,
As a matter of fact, Lifelock CEO Todd Davis, posts his social security number on the company’s page just to prove how confident he is of the company’s capabilities. If that come-on doesn’t get you, then I don’t know what will.

If you read my previous post, you’d know that I was dreading the thought of another school field trip. You see, having experienced so many trips before, I didn’t think that there would be any more places that would be worth seeing…at least not until yesterday. Why?
What’s so special about yesterday? Well, we went spelunking! Yep, not just climbing, nor just trekking, but spelunking. Pretty neat huh?! So what’s that you say? Spelunking is just a geeky term for cave exploring. Actually, to be more technical about it, it’s the sport of caving. You see, for the field trip, the grade school students of hedcen and some of the faculty members went to Biak-Na-Bato, a famous group of cave formations in Bulacan that were formerly used by Filipino insurgents that fought the Spaniards and Japanese colonizers back in the time of the 2nd World War. The idea I guess was to experience geology and history by visiting the natural structures that once served as refuge and sanctuary for our brave ancestors who spilled their blood to fight for freedom.
Structures that serve as monuments of time…

Structures that became witnesses to our ancestors’ gruesome stories… Continue reading »

My cousin has been racking up debts on her credit cards. I almost wanted to make her surrender them to me when I learned of it. I know how it feels to be paying off credit card debt - they sometimes feel like they are never going to end or you’d start to feel like you have a bad credit card. She’s thinking of getting a loan, hopefully one that charges lower interest. She needs to pay off her credit cards and to stop using them. She has been checking out different institutions that offers loans. Some even offer bad credit loans. It would a good idea for her (and me!) to read up on handling credit and finances. They are a good read even if you are ‘clean’, hehe!
