As I already mentioned before, I used to be a basketball person. Actually, I still am even though I don’t get to play anymore. I still can’t shake off the feel of dribbling or taking jump shots in my head even when I’m already playing soccer. It sucks right?
Anyway, I remember when we were back in High School, we used to spend breaks sweating off playing in the basketball court just outside the gym. We didn’t care if we drew attention during the next class with our smell or drenched clothes. We were happy. During lunch we’d talk more about the game, NBA, PBA, and all sorts of leagues famous for basketball. We were up to date with various rankings, international, national and even High School Basketball Rankings. Everything about the game, we loved.
Why? I’m not even sure. Maybe it’s because that’s where we felt free, adventurous, and truly important. I don’t really know. What I’m sure of is that it’s a great sport (probably the greatest if my opinion counts). I’m not the only one who liked it. And I’m sure that I’m not the only who got hooked on it. Some of my batchmates even continued playing till college. Others even hoped of joining collegiate basketball, but unfortunately, none were lucky enough to get scouted. Maybe, it’s because we didn’t have enough exposure then. They’d probably have had more chances if TAKKLE was already around back then. (It’s a social network for high school sports.) Unfortunately for them, it wasn’t.
But fortunately for the high school students now, it is. So for the sports-minded students out there, here’s a chance to get exposure before college. It must just earn you the ticket to professional ball.
